I believe that we as the human race have certain responsibilities to ourselves and to others. Below is my personal pledge and I invite you to join me:

We the people of the world,in order to establish a more peaceful environment do now pledge:

To learn more about people of other cultures;

To accept people for who they are regardless of the color of their skin; spiritual beliefs & culture;

To not judge others because they are different but rather to take the time to get to know them;

To see Mother Earth as a living breathing Being that needs our love and care;

To see those things we like about others and to pay less attention to  those things we dislike;

To see the Divine within ourselves to then see the Divine in others;

To recognize each individual as an extension of ourselves and recognize that we are all connected

And last but not least to love ourselves, love each other, and love our Creator

 TO THESE THINGS I DO PLEDGE!

             Being out here on the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk has taught me many things. One thing that is clear is that no matter how long I stay on this journey, no matter how many correspondences I get, or do not get, I am never alone.  If no one seems to “get it” (Why does she think she has to walk around the world?), If no one seems to get it, I know that I am never alone.   The Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk has reaffirmed in me that “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.”I am not alone; my Goddess/God is with me.

When I faced “the valley” knowing I had a life threatening malignant tumor in my body,  I would fear no evil for I knew that my Goddess/God was with me. There is no greater comfort than to know we are not alone. Especially those times when it feels no one else is there, no one understands, they just don’t get it. I’m sure someone out there knows what I’m talking about.

There is a Divine Love that looks after all of us, a Divine Light that continues to shine through each and every one of us. Even though we may feel we are in total darkness, that Light permeates our very existence and lets us know that the darkness is only temporary. It allows us to look deeper and further into our being to find that Divine Light. If we never knew the darkness, how would we ever know the light?

“Divine Love flows through me healing all humanity. Thank you for the power of your love.”

We are all connected and this connection can and does bring healing one to another. When all of us as a human family begin to know that connection then we will know that the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk is not just a group of 7 people that are walking around the world for peace alone, but a mighty group that walks with many because we take our family with us. Do you get it? This is not just our walk. It is a walk for every human being that is committed to helping bring a change to the planet. This walk is for every individual that wants to see a change in humanity and wants to aid in helping Mother Earth to heal. Regardless of what it may feel like, or look like, we are not alone. We are a family and we have the opportunity to begin to act like a family more and more.

 There is a Loving Spirit that wants us to see us “Get It.” There is a Loving Spirit that wants us to form a human bond of sister and brother hood that is impenetrable and can not be infiltrated with anything other than Divine Unconditional Love, the Divine Loving Spirit that helps us to remember who we are. We are Divine Beings walking this earth establishing our kingdom of love, light, peace, and harmony to our planet. There are many things happening on an energetic level and a physical level that need our light. There is war, famine, pestilence of many kinds, disease, hatred of one another because of race, creed, culture, and yet we have to know that all is well. Why, because “thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” and as the human Love Chain begins to connect, we will see all of these things over come -- maybe not in our life time but in our children’s and grandchildren’s life time.

Our planet is shifting, changing and yes many things are happening but there can be no change without some form of replacement and things can not be replaced until other things are torn down.  So do not see the chaos on the earth as a bad thing. See it as a means of reordering things.  People, who give their lives as a sacrifice to help initiate that change, have made an agreement from the beginning of time. They allow us, that remain, the opportunity to help in the reordering.  So make the best of your time here on the planet. Allow your creativity to flow. Do your thing -- what ever that maybe and enjoy this life that you have been given.

We can begin to see ourselves in a different light and begin to prepare ourselves for a grand awakening for we are in a new light, a new time, a new planet, a new life. Remember, we are not alone for our Guides, Angels, Ancestors, and Creator is with us. Enjoy this time and experience a new awakening that only comes once in this lifetime and know “yea though I walk through the valley, thou art   with me”

Divine Love is always present!!

Greetings from Morocco!

As we are nearing the end of our stay in Morocco I find myself feeling a sense of sadness. Being in Morocco has given me a feeling of being home. The people of Morocco have been so kind and warm and welcoming that I feel as though I could be at home in Atlanta among community. We have been here for almost 3 months and the experiences that I would like to share with you are ones that helped me to love and appreciate the Muslim community very much.

The people here in Morocco are very loving, giving and kind. They show so much compassion for those in their community. Once while we were in Rabat, Morocco we were at the internet Cyber Café and we heard a commotion outside the window. There were two Muslim men in an argument and a crowd had gathered and instead of a lot of energy of violence some of the other men present were separating the men who were arguing and reasoned with them, then brought them back together and  encouraged them to embrace and make up. After they did, they went their separate ways.

The people in the hotel we stayed in Rabat were very kind. The security guard that sat outside the door always greeted us with a warm smile and Bonjour with his hand over his heart. I looked forward to seeing his smiling face filled with well wishes from his heart. 

Then there is the restaurant that we ate in every day. The waiters were always helping to make our experience there a good one. They would escort Zenobia (Rahfyia’s daughter) to the front of the restaurant and give her ice cream after she had her meal. The waiter would always bring a cloth napkin to put around Mama Natalie while we fed her to keep her clothes clean. One evening while we were having dinner, the waiter went back into the kitchen and brought out a dish he wanted us to try and it was a Moroccan dish. He smiled and asked, “you like Moroccan?” and he smiled even more when we said, “very good.”  It was their pleasure to serve us and when we were happy, they were happy.

The day we left the hotel we had several bags and there was only Audri and I with Natalie. Because our cash flow was very slow this day we did not have tip money and we did not want to ask the doormen to help us with our bags. We walked Mama Natalie to the train station and I stayed there with her while Audri went back to the hotel to get the rest of the bags. We have 2 bags apiece and 2 bags with equipment so it was going to take at least 2 or 3 trips for Audri to bring the bags by herself. When she came back and I saw the door man with her with all the bags I was surprised. When he left, I asked her, “what happened?” She said, “he saw me struggling with the bags and he just came and took the other bags and started walking, just another example of their kindness.

My experience with the Muslim community has been one that is of such joy that I can really call them my brothers and sisters. And when I hear things that address them as anything less, it makes me very sad. We all know that there are people in every culture that live to express their highest and Divine selves and then there are those that seem to express their less than Divine selves, yet we can not judge the whole culture by just a few. Such is the case here in Morocco. The experiences of kindness that have been shown to us from every Muslim community from India, Egypt, and now here in Morocco, Africa are true expressions of brotherly/sisterly love.

We attended a class in one of the homes of a Muslim family and learned many things about their culture and their religion. Not all of the things they believe in are of my belief system but I found many similarities with Jesus, Mohammad and Buddha (blessings be upon them.)

What I did learn is that family is very important to the Moroccan. They believe that children are gifts given to them by the Creator to care for.  So when I say as I leave Marrakech, Morocco, I feel as though I am leaving family behind, I really mean it. The community here has really treated us like family. The family we are staying with here in Marrakech have made us feel as though their home is our home.

 I have made many friends here and as we continue on our journey I know I will make many more. I find here, as in most communities through which we have travelled, that people in different cultures may eat their food differently, listen to different music, or speak a different language, yet they love just the same. And to me that is the most important thing. Their form of worship may be different than mine, but their prayers are said with just as much love in their hearts for their Creator as I do. They love their families, they care for their neighbors, and they keep peace in their communities. They are a very loving and peaceful people.

I have found Islam to be a very beautiful religion or as they say a way of life. And the ultimate goal for them as in many other major religions including Christianity is to love and serve their God, and to be in service to their neighbors. And our neighbors are all around the world.

As we prepare to leave Morocco, I would like to share one more thought with you. Even though we, on this planet, are not all the same in our outward and physical appearances we are made the same from the inside out. And even though we don’t do all things alike, we are still alike because we are all hu-man and that is-- we are physical and Divine. This tells me we are connected because of the Hu or the Light, and when we can recognize this connection then we can say we are related. Our life line is connected with the Divine -- the Creator of all things.

Let us begin to see our differences as major opportunities to learn of others’ way of life. Let’s not be afraid of something or someone that we don’t even know. Let’s stop taking other peoples word for things and begin to get a first hand experience of people of different cultures. Make a friend of someone of a different culture. Begin to know them close up and personal and not by what is said about them by the media or someone else’s opinion.

Let us begin to see these differences as opportunities tor grow and understand someone else. If our Creator intended for all of us to be just alike we would be. So there must be a very good reason why we are different. Let’s begin to embrace our differences and begin to come together as a family in our love, joy, compassion and kindness for one another and continue to Love our Neighbor as Ourselves.

 

 

Know!  Believe! Succeed!

After watching the movie Freedom Writers over and over again I realized very clearly that if you believe in something or someone you can make a difference in their life as well as your own.    I realized that one person can make a difference by not giving up on what they believe in and by trying all ways possible to make it work, no matter what the obstacles. Knowing, if you believe and place your confidence and ability in what you believe, you will see things happen by your continued commitment to the process, and you will make a difference.

Erin Gruwell believed not only in her ability to be an effective teacher but also in the ability of her students she taught. Even when others told her that they were unteachable she believed in them. She believed so much in them that they went on to become the Freedom Writers and inspired others by their writings.

Another example of this is Father Flannigan who founded Boys Town. He believed that there was no such thing as a bad boy only a boy that needed love, discipline, and guidance to help to mold him into the young man that is able to make a difference in his life and the lives of those around him. He believed in that so much he went on to build a boys home called Boys Town to help those that others had given up on.

 

BELIEVE! It is my belief “All things are possible if you believe and they are so when you know.” Do you believe in something or someone so much that you are willing to take a chance on them?  Are you willing to take a chance on teaching the so called unteachable, to love the unlovable, and on leading those that others see as being lost? Are you willing to take a chance on them; are you willing to take a chance on you? Do you believe in you? When you do the Universe will begin to join with you and activate your knowing to the point of success. You will begin to see results, and see victory on every level.   

You are saying Divine Love I believe;

1.      In you and the ability you placed in me. I know I can make wise decisions. I have confidence in me and my ability to succeed.

2.      I believe in that person or project that I am putting my energy into. And I know that beyond a shadow of a doubt all things are possible.  

The Freedom Writers teacher never gave up on them and because she believed in them it made it easier for them to believe in themselves.  She saw them and their potential, and she built on that, the ability she saw in them and the ability she had in herself.

When she first applied for the job she said “I have not had much experience but I am a quick learner and I am willing to learn.”  She believed in her ability to learn how to teach those children. And because of her faith in her own ability she was able to help to build their confidence in themselves and they were able to become a model class in their school. Why, because they believed in themselves and their teacher. She told one young man “I see you and I know that you are not a failure now I want you to go back and do that evaluation over.”

Do you believe in yourself or in a project that you know is doable, or do you believe in the story that someone else has built around you? Whose story are you going to believe? Do not give up on your dreams, do not give up on you, and do not give up on what/ or who you believe in. Don’t rely on what others say find out for you. And begin to see all of the possibilities that will enable you to be successful in your quest.

 Remember. The only failure is the failure to try. If you try you will succeed to some degree and it will give you the confidence to continue, to go on to succeed at greater and greater levels. And always remember to ask yourself by whose standard are you measuring your level of success, by what someone else has perceived of you or by what you know of yourself. Rely on your ability, with the help of Divine Love, and know you are a winner and there are no failures, only the failure to try.  

 

STAND! When you really believe in something you stand up for it. And sometimes you lose those you care about along the way because they do not believe or understand and are not able to stand with you. Stand anyway.  Just know that it was not their time to continue on this journey with you that they must leave you so that they can go on to find their own continued journey in life. Stand!

Be one of those who can see beyond appearances and can continue to follow until that belief becomes manifest. Can you hold on to what you believe? Can you continue to motivate, captivate, generate, the impossible to manifest as the possible believing beyond all measure in the substance of your belief?  Do you believe beyond all else that your dreams are possible? That the person you believe in will grow beyond measure? Do you believe? Then activate your belief by Doing and know that the results will lead to success. Do you know…….Then Do?

DOING “Faith without works is dead” Activate your Faith, activate your Knowing. Continue with that project you put down because you couldn’t get it to manifest; go on to complete that song that you started a few years ago believing that it would be a hit; finish writing that story that you knew would be a best seller; start that business that you know everyone is waiting for; help that young person you saw because you believed in them; do what you believe in and know that The only failure is the failure to try. Know that you have already succeeded. Remember this question, by whose standard do you measure your success, by yours or by Divine Love? Think about it. I believe in you now believe in yourself and go for it.

Doing leads to Success!!!!

Today is a day of new beginnings. We have entered into a new realm of understanding old concepts. When this type of thing occurs there is always a time of adjustments. We have the opportunity to come into this time with lots of knowing that “all things are possible if we only we believe, and they are so when we know. “

My journey with the Trail of Dreams Team is full of  knowing. The journey has tested all of my ability to come into this time with the assurance that all is well.  We are assured all the time that everything is already done all we have to do is to walk in that knowing. When we, the Trail of Dreams Team,  come to a place like we are in now, not seeing  the resources that will allow us to move forward we allow ourselves to know that we have only to walk in that knowing. It is not always the easiest thing to do yet I know that it is doable, because we’ve done it before.

I am able to move through these times by reminding myself that God/Goddess  has not brought me this far to leave me, only to say ok times up I’m not taking you any further. I do not serve that type of Creator/Creatoress I know that all I have to do is to have the knowing that the way has already been made and my job is to just do.

We went to the airport yesterday prepared to go to Spain excited about moving forward on our journey.  When we got to the airport we were 5 minutes late and we missed the plane. We tried everything we knew in order for them to resend on their decision, and it was to no avail, so now what?  As I was asking my guides what to do my answer was “do what you do and we will see you through.” My guides are very poetic. There was a time that this kind of answer would have frustrated me although my working with them over the years has taught me to just do as they say, or meditate on what they say until I get it . I have learned sometimes when you don’t know what to do you do nothing. The saying goes “when in doubt don’t”. Then there are other times you just move in the knowing that all is well.

Have you noticed that I do not use the word Faith very much? This is because I have learned through my years of experience that we will move past the place of hoping without seeing, into the place of knowing without a doubt. The grandmothers say…”move in Divine action without thought”. This is a good place to be because we are then saying to our guides, angels, and ancestors that we trust them no matter what, even when we are in our finite understanding of what is going on and  we do not have a full picture.

Spirit has taught me that sometimes we think we have all the answers but we don’t, only because we don’t have all of the facts, and we won’t have all of the facts because we can not see the whole complete picture. We can not see way down the line what is happening or what is happening behind the scenes, in the Spirit world on our behalf.

 I am reminded of a story in the Bible about Daniel. Now any one that is familiar with the Bible I’m sure you know that Daniel was a mighty man of Faith. He went to the lions Den knowing that God would come through, and come through He did by closing the mouth of the Lion.

In this story that I am reminded of, Daniel had been fasting and praying and asking God for help. He waited and waited until finally a long time later Angel Gabriel came and answered his prayer. The angel told him that he would have been there sooner only he had to do battle with the lower Spirit Beings in order to get through.

That is exactly the way it is in these times we live in. We are sure of our steps at the time and when they don’t   turn out the way we think they should, or when we don’t get the answer we think we should get ,we think that God/Goddess has not answered our prayers. What we don’t think about is that there are things going on behind the scenes that we are not aware of. That is why we are learning to Trust, Know, and Believe without a shadow of a doubt. When we reach this place in our evolution of life we will find that those things we think we know we don’t, and those things we think we don’t know we do. This is a time of new beginnings, new awakenings.

Remember we have all of this information stored away in our beings and it is now time for us to remember and recognize it and bring it forward. It takes a lot of work and it is worth it.

Begin to Know and you will find that it gets easier and easier each time you try it and remember God/Goddess has not brought you this far to leave you.

Before I share with you my reflections for the day I would like to thank all of you who have been praying with me and for me. You will be happy to hear that my report from the doctor was excellent. They found a minute spot in one lymph node and nothing in the other lymph nodes and all the cancer was removed with the tumor. To God be the Glory.

Recently in my meditation I was reflecting on my whole experience in healing. For the past year I have been giving Mama Natalie energy treatments on a regular basis, and I felt bad during this time because I was unable to give them to her while in the midst of my healing experience. As I thought about this, Divine Spirit reminded me that the only thing I had to do was to show her love and let that love flow through my body to her, and that was the only energy treatment she needed. 

Previously my guides had showed me the power of love in healing. Love is what has brought me this far. Unconditional love is the best healing balm there is. This is the same love that the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers walk with. Love that sees no color, creed, nationality, or religion. Just heart to heart ... one human family. This is the love that we know will change the world "one step at a time". As we walk, we connect a chain that we send out and people all over the planet connect to. I call it the Love Chain

As I do my meditation and my chants I picture a chain of golden light connecting to people all around the world. And, as I see this chain I am reminded of the chant that I put in my book "To God be the Glory". "Loving Mother who I am help me take a holy stand, to love myself as I love you and know that we are one. Loving Mother who I am help me take this holy stand, to recognize all I see as you and know I love them too." So that as we walk we walk with the knowing that we are one with all humankind and the only bond we have is Divine Love.

Allow the Love Chain to bring you heart to heart with someone that is not a family member or a close friend but someone that you and others may see as unlovable  and repeat the mantra "Divine Love that I am help me take a holy stand to recognize all I see as you and know I love them too," and watch that love chain glow and flow from one heart to another connecting us all as one human family.

My faith has brought me this far, trusting in the knowing that God/Goddess is always with me. By faith and knowing I was able to go through major surgery on Friday and come home on Saturday. I am doing very well with the help of a wonderful support team, "The Trail of Dreams Team (near and far)."

Holland has been very good to me. We found out that the hospital I had surgery in is one of the top hospitals in the world for Cancer Research. The staff were very caring and capable.  I am very thankful to the people of Holland for welcoming us here and allowing me the opportunity to heal. Thank you Merel and family for generously providing  us with a safe and comfortable place to heal. I give thanks to Siddeeqah, our Trail Angel, for guiding us to all the right sources for our medical and dental needs. I give thanks to all of you who have had me in your prayers.  I've come this far by faith.

I give thanks to my angels and guides, nature and spirits beings, and ancestors who have been with me  guiding me through. And thank you Jesus for always being there, never leaving, nor forsaking me. I thank you Divine Loving Spirit for your love. Thank you for loving me so much. Thank you! Thank you one and all. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And so it is.

When we really want to do something we do it. The greater knowing is in us and our guides are there to help us, but they cannot go against our will. When we make up our minds to really do something, we do it. That is when we discover that the universe is there to support us in our choices. It is left up to us to make the choices. Greater is Spirit within us than that that is outside of us. Spirit has dominion over flesh and flesh must align with this. Spirit does not go against our will.

We are the Creators of our futures and we hold the destiny of our lives in our hands. Let us start doing what are hearts are calling forth, and realize that we are Being all Creator created us to be. Let us live up to our fullest potential, after all that is what our life purpose is all about. Following the path of our heart. This will reveal our life plan and the universe is poised to help us.

In the beginning of my journey to spiritual enlightenment I started my faith walk in the Church. There I met my first challenge. I was at a revival and the Missionary in charge called a prayer line. When it was my turn, she looked at me and said "daughter you have a waivery mind", then she prayed for me and I sat down. It took me some time before it finally clicked what she was talking about. When I started my spiritual journey I didn't know if I could stop doing those things that were hindering my spiritual progress. I was going back and forth.

Does this sound familiar? Then one day I realized I had to make a choice I couldn't live between the lines. I had to either get on board or get off the ship. My choice was to stay on board and that decision has led me here to this point in my life. Now the question is, "Do I want to finish this walk and live an extraordinary life or do I want to fall off board again, allowing fear and doubt to rule?"My choice is to stay on board.

These kind of decisions are constantly having to be acknowledged on this path. If we want to succeed in our choices and stick to our choices, we have to do like the Missionary said " Make up our minds." Don't be wavery minded in our choices in life. Know what you want to do, courageously walk the path of your life plan and watch the Universe line up with you to help you to accomplish your goals. The Universe, Creator, does not work against you. The Universe will work with you.

Following the revelation of your life plan, you can only succeed in your endeavors this is what I KNOW! And, it is this that will get me through  breast cancer surgery and allow me to continue on my path as a Peace Walker, completing my journey around the world.  

So look at yourselves and determine whether you are living up to your fullest potential and do what you set in your heart to do and know that the Universe supports you. When we become attached to the outcome we do not allow Spirit to do it's job. When we say Your will, this implies a greater trust than we can imagine. It is saying, "I trust you now beyond my own understanding.  I am not attached to what it looks like. My highest goal in life is to put my hand in yours, Creator and I let go, knowing that all is well. Don't forget... Know that You know that You know.

 

Thank you so much to my global family for your love and support during this healing time. Your emails are an inspiration to me. On Friday, Nov 16th, I am scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue in my breast. I am affirming that the lymph nodes are not affected. Your prayers during this time are greatly appreciated. This whole experience has been divinely guided. I was told by a hospital staff member that things do not generally move this quickly. There was no way, under normal circumstances, that I should have gotten scheduled so soon. The cost of surgery (I do not have international medical coverage) is just under $9,000, with the cost of our extended stay we are seeking to raise a total of $10,000.

Through this time of healing I have noticed some key things. It is very important for me not to waste time and energy in second guessing myself. asking myself why I didn't do this, that or the other. It becomes more and more apparent why I/we must stay in the moment -- right here. Now is where the healing needs to take place and where the power is. I am discovering that if I scatter my energies I hinder my process and progress. Allowing myself the privilege of being an active participant in my healing means concentrating and focusing on those things that bring me life, joy, laughter, and peace. Being aware of my mind, body and spirit keeps me grounded in the experience of my healing; making me an active participant in the healing process; allowing me to trust my instinct even when it comes to hearing advise from others; and to take this advise and use it in my healing, combining the best of modern medicine and the ancient healing wisdom of indigenous people the world over.

I am also noticing a relationship emerging between my healing and the healing of Mother Earth.My healing is directly related to the universal healing of life beyond country borders, races and even religions, embracing humanity and Mother Earth.

Here is a visualization that I use to help me to heal.

I see myself connected to the universe with a stream of liquid light , I wrap this light around the universe and myself bringing in the light from my inner being. I feel the connection from the inner earth and the Cosmos and know the connection touches all of the environment. I then begin to see that light heal all around me and through me as I chant "Divine Love that flows through me, touching all humanity, help me know the power of your Love" As I say my chant over and over I continue to visualize and see this liquid light come out from me and fill the universe. As you do this visualization watch the light come out from you and fill the universe.

I do this daily and I wanted to share it with you. I send lots of love and light to all of you my global family and to the universe.
